Traveling east, get off at the 6th Street Station. Traveling west, get off at the 7th street Station. GEOS is in one of Calgary’s Landmark buildings, The Elveden Centre. 717 7th Avenue is the Centre tower of the 3 large green towers on the block between 6th Street and 7th Street.   My name is Vanya Segura Mancilla and I am from Mexico. I will be studying at GEOS Calgary for 3 months. I live in Playa del Carmen Mexico which is a tourist town. I want to improve my fluency, conversation skills, and my listening skills to be able to communicate with foreigners and also for my job. My sister studied at GEOS Calgary last winter and she recommended I study here too. I looked around Calgary for some other options but GEOS looked the best to me. At GEOS you can practice all the time because there is a rule against speaking your own language in the school. Calgary is a great city. I enjoy coming to school. I learn something new every day. I have met people from many different countries and you can make really good friends. In the past 6 weeks I think that I have improved my skills a lot. Now I can understand native speakers more easily and have better conversations. I still make some mistakes but now I can see them and fix them. I think I will stop making them soon.
